[Thursday's Devotional] - Under the Waterfall

Under the Waterfall I remember once going for a walk with some friends especially to see a waterfall. It was a hot sunny afternoon and we had a picnic, bathers and towels with us. We walked through the woods and all the time the sound of the waterfall got louder and louder. We arrived and it was a glorious sight. We all rushed to get under it but immediately ran straight out. It was freezing! Bit by bit however we ventured back under its torrent until saturated by the pure mountain water washing over us. I remember thinking it was as if the water was alive, and being under its flow made me feel so alive and invigorated. There is an old chorus that says: "Let Your living water flow over my soul" (if you have time listen to it now -the link to the video is below) Gods living water flowing over and through us enables us to live our lives to the full. It enables us to be invigorated and renewed, but only as long as we stay under its waterfall.
