Credo: God the Father I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. My Dads favourite hymn was: Morning has broken like the first morning Blackbird has spoken like the first bird Praise for the singing Praise for the morning Praise for them springing fresh from the world. He said it reminded him of when he was a young boy walking through Paston Churchyard, (a suburb of Peterborough), listening to the birds sing, and deciding there must be a God responsible for the beauty of creation. How clearly the sky reveals God's glory! How plainly it shows what he has done! Each day announces it to the following day; each night repeats it to the next. No speech or words are used, no sound is heard; yet their message goes out to all the world and is heard to the ends of the earth. Psalm 19: 1-4 [GNB] I find the more we understand in science, from the complexity of DNA, to the wonders of the Universe, the more we become amazed by the intricacy and beauty of creation. To borrow some words from Simon Ponsonby "I am not an Atheist because Creation requires a Creator". Thank God for his Creation. Guy Mowbray | |
