[Friday's Devotional] - Celebration

Celebration Messy Church "reflects a God of joy who wants his people to have life in all its fullness." [BRF website] In the eyes of many, 2016 was a difficult year, with unexpected election results, terrorist attacks, natural disasters and the death of many well-known celebrities.  The media and social media got more and more gloomy as we approached the close of the year. Celebration is all about finding the good in the world and proclaiming it.  We like our times of worship to be vibrant and exciting for people to see that whatever state our own "messy" lives are in that Jesus gives us hope and that prayer has the power to change things for the better.   Please pray that, having met and been excited by the new life Jesus offers, our Messy Church families will grow in faith and fellowship.  Thank God also for the wonderful committed team that make Messy Church happen every month in Overslade and in Messy Churches around the world.      Mairi Mowbray   Twitter Website Copyright © 2017 St. Matthew & St. Oswald's Church, All rights reserved.
