In order to see clearly we need to have our path illuminated – in life, this happens as a result of having a relationship with Jesus. That means knowing him – not just knowing about him. Once we are in relationship with Jesus, we are born again – and we can see for the first time the light of truth.
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4 [NIV]
Jesus said:
I am telling you the truth: no one can see the Kingdom of God without being born again.
John 3:3 [GNT]
Does the Gospel make sense to you? If you are puzzled about what it means, you need the author to explain it to you - by entering into a relationship with Christ we can understand the words he left us in his Word. Why not talk to him today?
Jesus, help me to know you – not just to study your life. Reveal the mysteries of your Word to me that I may see clearly by the Light of the World. Amen.
Memory Verse: Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22 [NIV]
